The School of Pharmacy Mission is to instill in our graduates strong Christian values, to prepare them to practice evidence-based patient care, to educate them in pharmacy research and scholarship, and to enable them to meet the health care needs of diverse patient populations.
The AUHS School of Pharmacy embraces the educational philosophy of the University, which is dedicated to preparing a professional and culturally diverse workforce for the pharmaceutical, nursing, and research sectors of healthcare – a workforce that will utilize research and evidence-based practice to guide healthcare delivery, understand the application of research, display high level competencies to healthcare delivery, and value the continuation of learning.
Students completing our accelerated programs will be well-qualified to pursue entry-level scientific career employment in any area within a clinical setting or the health sciences industry, whether it is in biomedicine, consumer products, research organizations, pharmaceutical sciences, or in agencies within the public or private sector. AUHS’ strive for academic and professional success has proved to be an excellent foundation for undergraduate and graduate studies in inter-professional pharmacy education.
